Once they have remembered it, and hidden the card, you reach into their pocket, a nearby bin, or from the table, and pick out a small scrap of paper. You hold the paper over a lighter or candle, and slowly the name of their chosen card is revealed scorched into the piece of scrap paper.

This is a knock-out for audiences, and with many routines possible will fit with most performance locations and styles.
