Two highly polished brass cylinders are placed on the table. A spectator is asked to put one in each of his trouser pockets. While the magician is out of the room, the spectator is to hide a match in one of the cylinders and place it back in his pocket. There is no possible way for the magician to see, hear or feel what the spectator is doing. Yet, with all of these precautions, the magician unerringly chooses the correct pocket which contains the cylinder with the match!
