The Handkerchief Trick with a difference.

A folded silk hank is removed from the magicians pocket, twirled around so it’s like a length of rope. It is then held upright where it remains stiff and rigid even when the magician lets go of the top! A billiard ball is balanced on the tip of the silk until finally the silk collapses and all is normal!
