Telling a story of how a there was once a madman who could escape from anything in the blink of an eye, you show how you have learnt this skill, and can make a band jump instantaneously from finger to finger on your hand. To make this more difficult, you ask the audience to wrap a second band across the top of all of your fingers, trapping the first in place. Yet you can still make the first band change place in the blink of an eye.

This is a very simple trick, but goes down well in pubs, and with children.
