Palm in your hand. The diameter is 27mm (thickness is 10 mm)

This is free running until the lock button is pressed, whilst the button is held down the reel will not retract.  As soon as the button is released it will retract

The thread is made from extra strong nylon. The length of the thread is 800mm.
